Nearly 200 international students from universities around the country will be on campus this weekend to attend the Association of International Student Organizations conference.

Hosted by Grand Valley’s International Student Organization, the theme is “Leadership and Communication.”

Sheila Siwela, Zambia’s ambassador to the U.S., will give the keynote address on Saturday, March 15, at 10 a.m. in the Kirkhof Center, Grand River Room.

A business leader, Siwela founded Sheila Siwela Global LLC, which promotes trade and investments in Zambia and the U.S. She is an expert in gender and women’s issues, leadership and trade issues.

Former international students and faculty members will lead the conference’s communications sessions; business leaders will present sessions on networking, sustainability, entrepreneurship and minority-owned businesses.
