The Grand Valley Writers Series wraps up the semester with a craft talk by Dinty Moore, from 2:30-3:45 in room 2215 KC, Thursday, April 7, and a reading at 5:30 p.m. in the Alumni House. Both events are free and open to the public.
Moore’s memoir, Between Panic & Desire, was winner of the Grub Street Nonfiction Book Prize in 2009. His other books include The Accidental Buddhist, The Emperor’s Virtual Clothes, and the writing guide, Crafting The Personal Essay: A Guide for Writing and Publishing Creative Nonfiction.
Moore has published essays and stories in The Southern Review, The Georgia Review, Harpers, The New York Times Sunday Magazine, The Philadelphia Inquirer Magazine, Gettysburg Review, Utne Reader, and Crazyhorse, among numerous other venues. Moore is a professor of nonfiction writing at Ohio University.
