The Secretary of State’s Mobile Office Unit visited Grand Valley on Tuesday, September 18, to provide an opportunity for students, faculty, staff members and community members to register for the upcoming presidential election.
Sponsored by Grand Valley’s Student Senate, the voter registration unit was on the Allendale Campus from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The last day to register to vote for the November 6 election is October 9. For more information about registering to vote, visit www.michigan.gov/vote.
Other services that were provided included license, tabs and registration renewals and organ donor registry. The visit is part of the Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson’s 2012 “ExpressSOS” Voter Registration Drive, which includes visits to more than 20 universities, colleges and community centers to raise awareness and educate voters about what to expect on Election Day.
