Direct Payroll Deposit/Credit Unions

If you choose Direct Payroll Deposit, your money will be in your account the day before payday and immediately available. So, you can write checks a day early to pay bills or get cash as you normally would.

Pay can be directly deposited to participating financial institutions through the Michigan Automated Clearing House. Over 500 banks, credit unions, and savings and loans state-wide participate.

CU Financial, West Michigan State Employees Credit Union and the Ottawa County School Employees Credit Union will accept Grand Valley State University faculty and staff as members of their organizations too. These credit unions provide no fee checking, overdraft protection, low interest loans and Visa/Master Charge with reduced interest rates. Further information for these credit unions is available in Human Resources.

Please note: A new account must be prenoted. A prenote is the process of sending a penny into your account(s). This is for verification purposes. The next pay period the funds you specified will be sent to the account requested.
