This Facilities/Services staff member has been participating in the fitness class “Twice as Fit, 1/2 the Time,” and has lost over 20 lbs, but his biggest reward is more energy!
“It all started with peer pressure,” said Rousseau with a grin. “My fellow worker was taking the class, and encouraged me to join.” That was about 6 months ago. Since then, it has been the encouragement of his co-worker and the idea of improving his health that has kept him motivated.
"I wasn’t thrilled about coming to campus early and disciplining myself... but once I started, I couldn’t stop. The feeling was too great."
When asked what advice he would give to someone looking to be more physically active or just starting a fitness program, Rousseau said, “Don’t be afraid to try it. It isn’t easy, but if you stick with it, the rewards are amazing.”
