Transfer Student Housing Assignments

A transfer student is eligible for a room assignment if they have a housing deposit on file and a completed application and contract. A transfer student will have access to the Room Selection feature one business day following the receipt of the housing application.

Like other returning upperclass students, transfer students are responsible for assigning themselves to an on-campus apartment via the Room Selection feature on the MyHousing Overview. Transfer students will have access to the Room Selection feature October 20 through June 1.

After June 1, returning students will be placed based on preferences listed in the MyHousing Overview and space availability. Placement is not guaranteed.

A transfer student interested in a Living/Learning community, should not select a bed, but must indicate that specific Living/Learning Community as their first preference. For example, the first preference would be “Women’s Leadership House 4-Bedroom,” not “VanSteeland 4-Bedroom.” The Assignment Coordinators will make Living/Learning Community placements as space permits.
