Title: Media Services Technician - Holland Meijer Campus

Responsible for providing technical and support services to faculty, staff and students at the Meijer Campus in Holland.
Primary Duties & Global Responsibilities:
(Must be able to perform these duties; usually consist of more than 5% of your job.)
uMonitor computer labs at the Meijer Campus.
u Provide technical support for students and faculty using computer labs, copiers, printers, office space and classroom equipment.
uSchedule media equipment.
uProvide routine equipment inspections, maintenance, repair, and cleaning of computer equipment.
uProvide technical support for staff at Meijer Campus.
uSupport wide range of student services such as; instruction in logging on to blackboard, setting up the student e-mail system, changing passwords, and misc. other student computer assistance requests.
uMaintain a log of computer equipment repairs and/or initiates repairs, purchase rotations, and maintenance checks.
uMonitor ITV and Satellite connections.
uSupervise student employees.
uAll other related duties as assigned.
Secondary Duties & Responsibilities:
uCompiles statistical data for Continuing Education Department.
uAssists with special events at Meijer Campus.
uUpdates Web site.
uTracking missing and/or overdue equipment.
uUpdates Director on short and long term goals, projects, trends and purchases.
uMay review budget and assist with budgeting for equipment and supplies for computers and printers.
uMaintains and keeps adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.
uMakes recommendations and requests for purchases.
uMay be required at times to serve in a back up capacity for front desk services.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
uHigh school graduate supplemented by two years of technical training.
uMinimum of three years related experience.
uDemonstrated experience to successfully work under pressure and meet deadlines.
uDemonstrated experience to successfully maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
uDemonstrated experience to provide quality customer service.
uDemonstrated experience to successfully work independently, organize own work and coordinate work activity of others.
uPossess strong verbal and written communication skills.
uDemonstrated experience to successfully maintain satisfactory work performance and attendance record.
uMust be able to lift and carry equipment such as computers, printers, monitors, TVs, etc.
uWorking knowledge of AV production equipment, systems design, electronics and audio systems and strong computer skills.
