Curriculum Guide for the Second Degree BSN Program

The Kirkhof College of Nursing (KCON) supports the overall university tradition of liberal education, offering undergraduate degree programs that are well-integrated and accredited, with a concept-based curriculum rooted in the American Association of Colleges of Nursing’s Baccalaureate Essentials and standards of professional nursing practice.

The Office of Student Services academic advisors assist Second Degree (SD) students in creating individualized educational plans in order to setup each student for success. Second Degree students are not required to complete the General Education program requirements, having already completed this content within their first degree. The SD curriculum guide is comprehensive, including the pre-requisite coursework required for the major and additional coursework needed to be complete prior to the start of the clinical program.
