Join us in celebrating 25 Years of International Exchange with Kingston University! On Tuesday, October 9th from 5:30 - 7 p.m., Padnos International Center will host a reception for the opening of the 'Red Wall' exhibit in Lake Ontario Hall, featuring photos and artifacts from the GVSU-Kingston partnership.


 

March 1
A Musical Tribute to London The GVSU Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Henry Duitman, will present a concert which will celebrate our 25 year partnership with Kingston University.  Joining the orchestra to conduct a performance of his composition, Nelson Overture, David Osbon, Head of Collegiate Music at Kingston University, will also say a few words about some exciting new collaborations between the two music departments.   Program: Symphony No. 104 (The London Symphony) by Haydn Nelson Overture by David Osbon Nimrod from 'Enigma Variations' by Elgar Jupiter from 'The Planets' by Holst   Date: Thursday, March 1 Time: 8:00 p.m. Location: Louis Armstrong Theater No admission charge and the public is welcomed to attend.

April 27
Reception to celebrate the KU-GVSU relationship over the past 25 years and to celebrate the signing of the next agreement between our universities.  Current GVSU students and alumni of this program, faculty and staff are invited to attend this event. Guests of honor include: Dr. Julius Weinberg, Vice Chancellor, Kingston University, President & Mrs. Haas, former Presidents Don Lubbers and Mark Murray and Brian Curry, former GV Professor of Biomedical Sciences. Brian Curry will be recognized for his contributions in starting this partnership.

Student reception - All Kingston/GV exchange students (past and present) are invited to meet up for refreshments and to help kick off the 25th anniversary of the exchange program.  If you have participated in the exchange either at Kingston or at GVSU, please join us!  We encourage faculty and staff to also join us in welcoming our colleagues from Kingston University who will be visiting during the Fall 2012.
