Program Proposals

Program Proposal Registration for Leadership Summit 2013 is now open.   Please click HERE to submit your Program Proposal! The deadline has been extended to Friday, January 11th.  We highly encourage early submission of programs.

 
We would like to cordially invite you to participate in the 16th annual Leadership Summit at Grand Valley State University held on Saturday February 23, 2013. Our student led committee is currently seeking qualified professionals (students and staff) to present educational sessions 50 minutes in length, which advocate our core values as reflected in our mission: “The Leadership Summit of Grand Valley State University is a professional conference which strives to foster leadership development for undergraduate students in multidisciplinary aspects of campus life.”

We are seeking educational sessions to cover both emerging to experienced leadership skills.  Interest areas include:

  • Athletics (club sports, intramurals)*
  • Campus-wide Programming
  • Civic Engagement & Service Learning*
  • Diversity / Cultural Organizations
  • Housing / Residential Life
  • General Leadership Development
  • Student Government
  • Social Justice*
  • Women’s Leadership*
  • Greek Life* / Multicultural Greek-Letter Orgs   

*indicates theme offered at each session

The online program proposal requires the following information:

  • Contact information
  • Biography for each presenter (50 words or less)
  • Presenation Title
  • Presentation Theme/ Interest Area
  • Presentation Target Audience (Emerging, Intermediate, Advanced)
    Presentation Abstract (100 words or less)
  • Presentation Goals / Learning Outcomes (used for evaluation purposes)
  • Presentation Equipment needs
All undergraduate student presenters must also register for the conference.  Presenters that are Graduate Assistants, staff, or advisors are encouraged to register if they wish to attend the dinner.  Presenters that are staff and advisors are encouraged to bring a delegation of students and should note that a user friendly group registration process if available.  For more information about registration, click here

With your help, the Leadership Summit will become the premiere leadership conference in the Midwest. You’re knowledge and expertise will benefit all student leaders who attend. Please note that we are unable to reimburse presenter and co-presenters for travel, lodging, or other related expenses.  Thank you for your consideration and see you in February!
