Zero Waste Internship

The Gazelle Girl Half Marathon is seeking a paid intern to manage the zero waste component of the event. The position requires 5 to 10 hours a week from November 1, 2013 to April 18, 2014.

Kids Hope Internship Opportunity

The Connections position is a great fit for those interested in child development, family studies, healthcare, or social sciences. Interns have the opportunity to work with a growing program that is involved in many community conversations and serves parents through education of child development and support.

The Fund Development & Special Events position is for anyone looking for experience in hospitality business, event planning, fund development, etc. and provides the opportunity to work with our Communications and Fund Development team.

The Communications & Marketing position is anyone looking for experience in marketing or communications and provides the opportunity to work with our Communications and Fund Development team.

The Community Education & RAVE position will allow the intern the opportunity to see both the direct service side of this youth education program, along with the behind the scenes administrative, program management side. It’s a great position for those interested in youth development, criminal justice, women and gender studies, and education.

The Volunteer Services position gives students a broad understanding of non-profit organizations and volunteer management. Their experience will range from coordinating projects, orienting volunteers, relationship building, and volunteer appreciation/retention. They’ll also act as support for the internship program, creating community among the summer interns and making recommendations throughout the semester.

The Dispute Resolution Center of West Michigan provides low cost and no-cost mediation services using volunteer mediators to a seven county area.  They are currently in great need of an intern to start in August.  

Intern will act as a program manager, taking calls about mediation from the public and courts, opening cases, scheduling mediations, helping to coordinate mediator interns, filing mediation reports with the courts, and assisting a small staff in a variety of other areas.
