Distance and Off-Campus Learning Services
The University Libraries knows that distance education students have different needs than on-campus students. All library services at GVSU are available to the distance education community, and we work hard to meet the needs of all distance learners.
The library website is your gateway to research
The library has a rich collection of online information resources to support your research, including thousands of e-journals and hundreds of article databases. You can access any of these information resources by logging in with your GVSU username and password.
You can request home delivery of books and Web delivery of articles
Need books and journal articles but can’t find them online? You can have any book at the University Libraries sent to your home address. Just request the book in the catalog and select "Off-campus pickup" as your pickup location. You can mail them back to us, or to avoid postage, drop them off at one of the following locations:
- Holland: at the GVSU Meijer Campus
- Muskegon: at the GVSU Muskegon office at MCC’s James L. Stevenson Center for Higher Education
- Sault Ste. Marie: at the Lake Superior State Library Circulation Desk
- Traverse City: at the GVSU Traverse City office in the University Center
If we don’t have a book or article you need, we will borrow it from another library. The whole world of library collections is available to you. Just fill out a Document Delivery request.
E-Reserves
E-Reserves lets your instructor share class readings and media with you online.
