Quiet Study Areas
Seidman House is nestled on the edge of the ravines, offering students an amazing view through floor-to-ceiling windows. The building offers quiet study with comfortable chairs, tables, and even a fireplace surrounded by sofas and armchairs. Special Collections and University Archives host rotating exhibits, highlighting portions of the collections available for use in the Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room.
Seidman House Collections
These collections help support the university curricula and research interests of its faculty, staff, and students, as well as those outside the university.
The rare books, manuscripts, documents, artwork and digital files housed in Special Collections supplement and enhance resources available in the GVSU libraries. The collections are international in scope with particular focus on Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War; Michigan in the novel; regional literature, history and culture; and history of the book and printing arts.
