GVSU Marching Band
I grew up Barryton, a small town in central Michigan and I graduated from Chippewa Hills High School in 2009. I play French Horn and I am a Music Education major. My goal is to one day teach and be a High School band director. I have played in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the Symphonic Orchestra for the past two years. This fall will be my second season with the Laker Marching Band and my third year at Grand Valley. It is also my first year as drum major! This past year I became a Brother of the Mu Kappa Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi and was the Beta Class President during our Prospective Member process. To the incoming and new members of the LMB, I cannot wait to meet each of you! As it is my first year in a new position, we will be learning and experiencing new things together! I cannot wait to march into Lubbers Stadium for your first game. The experience is one that is indescribable. To the returning members, I cannot wait to work with you all and see you again in the fall!
I grew up in Mount Prospect Illinois and I graduated from Prospect High School in 2011. I am a music education major with an emphasis in trumpet performance. This fall will be my second season with the Pride of the Midwest Laker Marching Band and my first year as drum major. I am also a member of the Kappa Kappa Psi brotherhood and was the Vice-President of the Gamma perspective member class. I spend my summers in The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps and I have done so since the summer of 2010. To those new members of the LMB, ask questions, get motivated, and meet some life long friends! This will surely be a very productive and fun season and cannot wait to get to know each of you!
