GVSU Marching Band
Mr. Gordillo is a recent addition to the Grand Valley University Marching Band staff as the Assistant Director of Bands. Rick has been an active music educator in West Michigan for 15 years. Mr. Gordillo is currently the percussion director for Jenison High School from Jenison Michigan and Reeths Puffer High School from Muskegon Michigan.
Rick is a graduate from Aquinas College and an Alumni of Wyoming Park High School. Mr. Gordillo is a former member of the Northern Aurora Drum and Bugle Corps from Saginaw MI and the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps from Dubuque Iowa. Mr. Gordillo is heavily involved with Winter Guard International, Co-founding groups like Great Lakes Percussion and Genesis Percussion.
Rick is an endorsed artist with Mapex and Majestic instruments as well as an Evans drumheads, and Promark Sticks.
