About Us

Welcome to the Department of Music and Dance Program at Grand Valley State University.

The Dance Program has 50 majors and over 30 minors in our degree program.  The Dance Program is housed in the Department of Music and Dance and offers a major in the Bachelor of Arts degree.

The Dance Program is housed in GVSU's Performing Arts Center (PAC). Available facilities include the Louis Armstrong Theatre, which seats 400, the Dance Studio Theatre which seats 100, and a MacLab for video-editing and digital media applications.  The dance wing of the Performing Arts Center was added in 2001 and includes two spacious studios with sprung marley floors, a quadraphonic sound system, large locker/dressing rooms, and four faculty offices.  The Dance Wing also houses our Dance Costume Shop which features state-of-the art sewing equipment and fabrics.
