About Us

Mission:

Our mission is to support diverse learners; to educate, engage and empower all learners to live in a multicultural world; and to advocate for a socially just campus environment.

Vision:

By collaborating with campus and community partners, the Office of Multicultural Affairs will create an educational environment that cultivates the rich contributions of all cultures and also provides a place where learners can achieve academic, social, and cultural success.

Values:

Community, Student Centered Empowerment, Diversity, Social Responsibility, Inclusion, and Justice.

"As the inaugural social justice center on campus, the OMA engaged in groundbreaking work to help students of color thrive on campus and to serve as a place of education for all students. I am grateful to past leadership and thrilled to work alongside the outstanding staff in the office of Multicultural Affairs as they continue to make a difference in the lives of students."

Jesse M. Bernal, Ph.D., Chief of Staff to the President & Vice President for Inclusion and Equity
