This panel of teacher educators discusses the challenges of maintaining rigor in a teacher education program while balancing our the certification requirements that call for "minimally acceptable" qualifications for entry-level teacher in the K-12 setting as well as teacher-trainees' perceptions of what constitutes "adequate training."  Results of a graduate student survey regarding attitudes and perceptions will be discussed.
