Samuel Swanson ACF Abstract FY11
The GVSU trumpet ensemble is a nationally acclaimed musical group.
Under the direction of Professor Richard Stoelzel, the group received top
place multiple times at the National Trumpet Competition in Fairfax, VA.
After a pre-screened audition, the ensemble was invited to perform at the
36th annual International Trumpet Guild conference. The ensemble will
perform with Jeff Uban, a former member of the Glenn Miller Jazz Orchestra
and an alumni of GVSU. In attending this conference, the GVSU trumpet
ensemble will be performing for an international audience of aspiring, world
class musicians.
