Outreach at PCEC

The Seymour and Esther Padnos College of Engineering and Computing is committed to community outreach to introduce the community to the fields of engineering and computing. Several outreach programs have been created to serve that purpose.

Vision Statement

To increase the quality, diversity, and number of students prepared to major and work in engineering and computing fields. Experience has shown that the best way to help our young students understand what engineers and computing scientists do is through a combination of field trips, in-class activities, and group discussions with professionals and students.

 

Did You Know?

A study by the ACT reported a drop in the number of high school seniors planning to study engineering and computing. 90% of Americans believe that improving pre-college math and science education is a national priority that must be addressed. Learning about engineering and computing will increase students' awareness of scientific and technical careers.
