Center for Health Sciences Parking
The GVSU Center for Health Sciences (CHS), located at 301 Michigan Street Northeast on the Grand Rapids Medical Mile, provides some challenges for parking that we would like to address.
There is no student parking at the CHS building, regardless of the reason for visiting the building.
Students are encouraged to park in the Seward Parking Ramp and take the DASH to the Hill shuttle to CHS. This shuttle picks up on Seward Avenue NW just north of Lake Michigan Drive. See www.gvsu.edu/bus for schedules.
Please be advised, the Seward Parking Ramp at the downtown Pew Campus will be closed for maintenance and repairs starting Friday, June 13, at 6:00 PM. The ramp will re-open on Monday, August 4
Visitors require a permit to park in any GVSU parking lot. In lieu of a permit, visitors may park and pay at a meter. There are meters located on the north side of the CHS building as well as in the Lafayette Lot.
Visitors are encouraged to contact their host prior to visiting to arrange for a parking permit to be delivered electronically. This will make the parking process much easier on the day of your visit.
Faculty and Staff of GVSU, regardless of their office location, are not considered visitors at CHS and cannot park in spaces specifically designated for visitors. These spaces are clearly signed on the upper level of the parking ramp.
Overflow parking for faculty/staff is available in the Lafayette Lot.
Tenants are required to park (with a tenant permit) in the Lafayette Lot. Tenants may not park in the CHS ramp.
As always, if you have any questions regarding parking at the Center for Health Sciences, please do not hesitate to call our office at (616) 331-6677. Thank you.
