How it all began... The Network was formed by several GVSU faculty, staff, and COT who were interested in bringing together employees of color from throughout the university to proactively address their own needs. They had assessed broad interest in the formation of such an organization. Two initial meetings were held to gather information from attendees as it relates to the functionality of this organization. More than 60 people attended these meeting, which where held: Wednesday, November 2005 Friday, November 18, 2005 With the support of President Mark A. Murray, the Intercultural Advisory Council (IAC), and the Grand Valley People of Color Network a holiday reception was held. Monday, November 28, 2005 |
