Marie Edouard

Marie Edouard graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2020 with a major in International Relations. During her time at GVSU, she grew close with the political science and international relations faculty members and valued their assistance. According to Marie, “Professors like Jack Mangala, John Constantelos, Polly Diven, and Tom Walker not only prepared me academically for every endeavor I have since pursued, but further challenged me on a personal level to be a better version of myself and to walk away from every experience knowing I gave it my best.”

Marie began law school in 2021 at the Boston University School of Law, then later transferred to Harvard Law School where she is currently working on her Juris Doctor, which she expects to complete in 2024. While at Harvard Law School, Marie has participated in the Harvard International Human Rights Clinic and worked on the creation of an international legal instrument that would address trade through a human rights lens. Marie also served as an Articles Editor for the Harvard Human Rights Journal. With these opportunities, she developed an interest in the field of business and human rights. She hopes to begin a career that focusses on strengthening the international rule of law in adverse business related human rights issues.

Marie will begin her post-grad career as an associate for Goodwin Proctor LLC in Washington, D.C.
