High School teachers are invited to come to the Hope College campus in Holland, Michigan and learn how to use WebMO, a user-friendly web-based software interface that provides access to highly complex computational science and modeling engines.
Throughout the week, teachers earn a stipend, have free room and board, earn credit, collaborate and network with fellow high school teachers, and develop inquiry-based lessons using sophisticated technology that meet national standards. Benefits of the workshop will not end on the last day. Workshop leaders will continue to be in contact over the coming academic year and beyond to be sure that you are comfortable with your lesson and the tools you employ. You will be able to utilize Hope Colleges computational resources from your own web browser anytime you like for as long as you keep teaching; all you need at your school are computers with ordinary web browsers. Application deadline is April 8, 2013.
