GVSU Student Scholars Day: A Celebration of Student Research and Creative Work

The Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship (OURS) at GVSU extends a warm invitation to the public, and especially teachers and students, to experience the research and creative endeavors of our students at the 28th annual Student Scholars Day (SSD) on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

The annual SSD conference showcases the faculty-mentored work of GVSU students, such as scientific research, cultural and artistic expression, and more, from various disciplines across the university. Students present their work through many venues, including (but not limited to) oral presentations, panel sessions, fine art exhibits and performances, and poster presentations.

The detailed schedule of presentations can be found at https://www.gvsu.edu/ours/ssd/. This year's SSD keynote speaker is the renowned writer and MacArthur "Genius Grant" Fellow Imani Perry, whose lecture will take place on Tuesday, Apr 9, 4:00-5:30 pm.

The OURS Ambassadors, current undergraduate students who are engaged researchers, would be delighted to host and escort student groups through SSD, introduce them to research faculty and students, and to discuss how OURS programs support student research. Please contact the Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship at [email protected] to arrange a tour of SSD for student groups you are supervising.
