High School Juniors and Seniors - Conduct Research at Young PI's Camp!

Young PI's (Principal Investigator) Summer Scholar Program
June 24th - June 28th

The Young PI's Summer Scholar program is an initiative by the GVSU Honors college to provide experience and connections to high school students interested in STEM. We want to develop interest and understanding through mentorship and create an environment where students are not only allowed, but encouraged to explore scientific ideas that interest them.

Students and undergraduate mentors will rotate through 4 labs: cell and molecular biology, chemistry, physics, and biomedical sciences. At the end of the week, students will pick the lab they enjoyed most and work with the faculty to explore the topic further. This culminates in a poster presentation on Friday evening.

Camp activities will be held between 10am and 3pm on the GVSU Allendale campus. On the last day, there will be no day activities. Instead, an end-of-week ceremony where students will present their work, begins at 5:30pm.
