Regional Math and Science Center
RMSC Needs Assessment Survey
The Regional Math and Science Center at Grand Valley State University (RMSC @ GVSU) is in the process of developing a five-year plan (2013 – 2018) for our work with K-12 schools around STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education. The RMSC is one of 33 Centers in the state of Michigan that provides a mosaic of mathematics and science services to our community. This plan will include both short and long term goals for our work with K-12 schools in our region (Kent, Montcalm, and Ottawa counties). Of particular focus in this survey is our work with teacher professional development and outreach services to students
We need your input to help us with our planning. To accomplish this, we have designed an on-line survey to help us learn more about the needs of the administrators, curriculum coordinators, teachers, and their students in schools in our region. An important part of the planning process is your feedback concerning the types of programs and content workshops that would be beneficial to your classroom or schools, especially in light of the new Common Core State Standards / Mathematics and Next Generation Science Standards.
Since you are part of and/or work with these groups, your concerns and opinions are very important and helpful to us. Please take time to complete the survey (which will take about 15 minutes) at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XW3P2J9 until May 3, 2013. A separate survey for business and industry will be available on our website later this month.
Thank you for your support.
