    Future students touring campus

    Laker Open House

    Laker Open House events are in-person, campus-wide events offered in the Fall and Spring, designed for future students and their families. These events provide you with the opportunity to experience Grand Valley's academic programs and campus communities, and navigate your next steps. Talk with faculty, student support staff, and current students, then tour campus to experience the Laker Effect for yourself. (Half day, or full day with optional activities.)

    Future-Freshman Campus Visit: Presentation & Tour

    Current high school students, or recent high school graduates, join us for an in-person campus visit, including a group presentation followed by a student-led campus tour. (About 2 hours.)

    Future-Transfer Student Campus Visit:  Presentation & Tour

    Current college students or anyone with college credits, join us for an in-person campus visit that includes a group presentation followed by a student-led campus tour. (About 1.5 hours.)

    Admitted Student Events

    Students admitted to GVSU are invited to attend any of these events. These events provide admitted students with more information about the GVSU student experience, financial aid, housing, and academic programs. These are great events to attend before participating in New Student Orientation in May or June. To view events, log in using the email and password associated with your application account.

    Detroit Area Events

    Prospective or admitted students living on the east side of Michigan are invited to attend any of these events; we call this GV in the 313. For prospective students, learn more about the GVSU student experience, financial aid, housing, and academic programs. For admitted students, learn more about your next steps before you attend New Student Orientation.

    Current college students interested in transferring to GVSU, join us for an in-person campus tour led by a current GVSU student. (About 1 hour.)

    Join our International Admissions and Recruitment team for a live, one-hour virtual information session. In this Zoom session we will share information about why Grand Valley is a great place to earn your Bachelor’s degree. This session is intended for undergraduate students who have not yet applied to Grand Valley.

    Join a member of the International Admissions and Recruitment Team in a live virtual information session that is designed specifically for admitted international undergraduate students. In this 45-minute Zoom session, we will share information about what you need to know as an admitted international undergraduate student.     These monthly 90-minute webinars for admitted international students help you learn about your next steps after admission. Each webinar focuses on a different topic ranging from visas, financial support, housing, and more.     Group Visits

    Are you a member of a school or educational organization interested in bringing a group to campus? Group visits to Grand Valley are offered Tuesdays through Thursdays, for between 10 to 60 visitors and include a group presentation, followed by a campus tour.
