Healthy Habits

Tips

College can throw off healthy habits! Here are some general tips to help you feel well.

1. Find a routine that works for you. Balance is very important for maintaining stability and preventing extremes in various aspects of life.

2. Eat healthy meals. Good nutrition is crucial for maintaining energy and supporting your metabolism. Many nutritionists suggest consuming three meals per day along with healthy snacks.

3. Drink water daily. Water is essential for supporting bodily functions including the brain. Adequate water intake can help with concentration.

4. Get enough sleep. Getting enough sleep is SO important for your health and wellbeing. College students should sleep around 6-8 hours a night.

5. Keep Moving. Physical Activity is a healthy habit that can improve your physical and mental health by producing hormones that improve your overall mood.

6. Take a break! Everyone needs a break every once in a while. Get away for the weekend, go visit your best friends, or take a walk/bike ride.
