Overnight Service Trip
Our overnight service trip is designed for any student at GVSU. Three times a year we take 24 students out into the Grand Rapids area to make a difference in the community. Friday evenings are spent taking time getting to know each other, hanging out, and having fun. We also take time to learn exactly what "service learning" really is. Saturday we head out to our organization and serve all day there. Are you looking to get to know new people, have a great time, and get some service hours in?? Then this trip is for you!
Students needing special accommodations to participate should email Laura Murnen within one week of the event. Please email Laura at service@gvsu.edu if you need accommodations.

Where: Comprenew and Little Pine Island Camp
When: 2012-2013
Thank you to everyone who participated! In 2012-2013 we volunteered with Comprenew Environmental and Little Pine Island Camp. The organization had many facility needs such as painting, cleaning, and sorting, that they loved for us to help out with. The work we did there greatly benefited the agency and its mission to support people as well as keeping thousands of pounds of e-waste out of dumps.
