Overnight Service Trip

Our overnight service trip is designed for any student at GVSU. Twice a year we take 24 students out into the Grand Rapids area to make a difference in the community. Friday evenings are spent taking time getting to know each other, hanging out, and having fun.  We also take time to learn exactly what "service learning" really is.  Saturday we head out to our organization and serve all day there.  Are you looking to get to know new people, have a great time, and get some service hours in??  Then this trip is for you!

Students needing special accommodations to participate should email Laura Murnen within one week of the event.  Please email Laura at murnenla@gvsu.edu if you need accommodations.

Thank you to everyone who participated!
In 2013-2014 we volunteered with Feeding America, Rays of Hope, Clark Retirement Community, and the YWCA. We are thankful for our partnership with surrounding community organizations that make our CSLC sponsored events possible. Throughout the 2013-2014 school year we were able to serve with a variety of organizations and learned a lot from these experiences. If you are interested in participating in the 2014-2015 overnight service trips please check back for registration next fall.
