Overnight Service Trip

Our overnight service trip is designed for any student at GVSU.  Three times a year we take 24 students out into the Grand Rapids area to make a difference in the community. Friday evenings are spent taking time getting to know each other, hanging out, and having fun.  We also take time to learn exactly what "service learning" really is.  Saturday we head out to our organization and serve all day there.  Are you looking to get to know new people, have a great time, and get some service hours in??  Then this trip is for you!

Students needing special accommodations to participate should email Laura Murnen within one week of the event.  Please email Laura at murnenla@gvsu.edu if you need accommodations.

Previous Projects...

Where: Feeding America - Eastmanville Farms

When: 2013-2014

Thank you to everyone who participated!
In 2013-2014 we volunteered with Feeding America! We loved it! We picked (gleaned) corn to go to underprivileged people in Grand Rapids who do not have access to healthy, fresh food! The work we did there greatly benefited the organization and its mission to support people as well as keeping healthy eating a priority!
