Dr. Winegar teaches advertising classes at the undergraduate level and core communications courses at the graduate level. His years of service as the project manager for the Grand Valley website provides him with a wealth of experience with the Internet's interactive marketing and advertising capabilities. His research interests focus on the online cultures of the Internet, the Internet's impact on advertising and popular culture and its impact on daily off-line living, critical theory and the critical perspective in popular culture. He is a member of the Advertising Educational Foundation, the American Advertising Federation, the Interactive Advertising Bureau, and the National Communication Association
