About
Professor Beery has been active in journalism education and the news business for more than 36 years: print advertising sales and management; reporting and editing for commercial newspapers; magazine publishing; and freelance writing. He has been a member of the journalism faculty since 1990, and he has been editorial/business adviser for student-run, twice-weekly newspaper, the Grand Valley Lanthorn, and its online operation.
