The GVSU Sources Guide is a topical arrangement of Grand Valley faculty and staff members who can serve as sources for reporters in search of commentary on breaking news stories or subjects for features.

The faculty members listed in the guide are also available as speakers for area clubs and organizations. Arrangements can be made with the speakers directly or through News & Information.

Biography:
Professor Phillips specializes in political economy, with substantive focus in U.S. Deindustrialization, Stratification, and the Sociology of Work. He is a former General Motors employee, as a member of both labor and management. Drawing from this unique experience, he brings to the classroom an interesting and at times funny depiction of the way the world works. Professor Phillips is currently working on research projects at the General Motors metal fabrication division in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
