Grand Valley State Debate Championship

January 31 & February 1, 2014 

Pew Campus, Downtown Grand Rapids

The Grand Valley State University Speech Lab is delighted to host its 4th annual Debate Championship for high school policy debate competitors. Students will debate the 2013-2014 National Forensic League topic - Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its economic engagement toward Cuba, Mexico or Venezuela.

The Grand Valley tournament will offer one open division with varsity and junior varsity break-out rounds and one novice division. All divisions will have competition on Friday & Saturday. A school will be able to enter two squad units in each division.
