Graduate Student Association (GSA)
What is GSA?
GSA is Grand Valley’s Graduate Student Association.
Our Mission: GSA strives to promote interdisciplinary communication and collaboration in order to enhance the student experience. By fostering the development of a graduate student community at Grand Valley State University, graduate students will develop academically, intellectually, professionally, and socially.
What does GSA do?
GSA is the voice of the graduate student community and strives to carry concerns and suggestions to the University and Student Senate. GSA works to organize events and meetings to build community among graduate students and offer opportunities for professional development as well as networking.
What is GradClub?
GradClub is a weekly casual meeting and social gathering for graduate students in all disciplines. It serves as an opportunity for graduate students to get to know one another, network and build community. In addition, GradClub is an opportunity for students to voice their concerns or suggestions.
What is PACES?
PACES (Professionalism, Advancement, Communication, Engagement, Success) is a co-curricular program put on by the Graduate Studies office for graduate student professional development, and though it operates independent of GPSA, is a valuable resource for graduate students. Many times, GPSA and PACES will co-sponsor events and programs. To learn more go to www/gvsu.edu/gs and click on the PACES menu item.
How can I get involved with GSA?
The first step in getting involved is to connect with the executive board either via STUEY (GVSU’s online center for Student Organizations), GradClub, or both. Be sure we have your email so you are kept up to date on GSA events and meetings. We welcome your ideas and suggestions.
