Experience:
Jerry began teaching at GVSU a number of years ago. His areas of specialty include international social work and community development, cross-cultural adjustment, community practice, ethnography, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders.  His international work includes community development in Yerevan, Armenia, and Tirana, Albania.  Jerry was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in 1998-99 and 2000-01. His books include Crossing Borders - Confronting History (Rowan and Littlefield, 2000) and Fundamentals of Substance Abuse Practice Allyn & Bacon Casebook Series - 11 volumes, (Brooks/Cole, 2004) which is co-authored with Dr. Georg,e Grant, Jr.
