2014-2015 TUITION AND FEE SCHEDULE
RATES PER SEMESTER 

Michigan resident, lower division:
$5,376 for 12-15 credits
$448 per credit hour for 1 to 11 credits and for each credit over 15. 

Michigan resident, upper division:  
$5,652 for 12-15 credits
$471 per credit hour for 1 to 11 credits and for each credit over 15.

Michigan resident, masters:  
* $562 - $614 per credit hour depending on program 

Michigan resident, doctoral:
$690 per credit hour

Non-resident, lower division: 
$7,704 for 12-15 credits
$642 per credit hour for 1 to 11 credits and for each credit over 15

Non-resident, upper division: 
$7,992 for 12-15 credits
$666 per credit hour for 1 to 11 credits and for each credit over 15

Non-resident, masters:  
* $752 - $804 per credit hour depending on program

Non-resident, doctoral:
$911 per credit hour

 

Some Grand Valley State University colleges, schools, and departments carry an additional tuition charge per credit hour to offset the higher costs in those particular areas.

Students classified as undergraduates registering for masters and doctorate courses pay undergraduate tuition rates.

Students are classified as upper division upon earning their 55th semester credit.

Students classified as graduates pay their graduate program tuition rate for all courses taken.
