Student Employment Office
Students are paid every two weeks. Pay date schedule can be found on the pay period schedule.
Students should be encouraged to apply for Direct Deposit. They can have their check deposited into one bank account. The money will be available to them on Monday before payday, unless Monday is a holiday. They will receive check stub via email.
Social Security numbers, account numbers and home address information will not appear anywhere on the direct deposit stub or the email that contains the stub.
Checks of those students that do not opt for Direct Deposit will not be sent to the department in which they work, instead, the checks will be sent to a centralized location on the different GVSU campuses. Contact Payroll Office for those specific locations
Students with lost or stolen checks should contact the Payroll Office immediately at 331-2235.
Under special circumstances, students may request to have their check mailed to their home. The student should leave a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the Payroll Office 201 LMH. A better solution would be to advise the student to utilize direct deposit.
Unclaimed checks will be returned to Hollie Rago in the Accounting Office at 201 Lake Michigan Hall.
