The Laker Traditions Team is a new group of students at GVSU who will work with Student Life and other student organizations to plan and implement several annual traditional events and coordinate Laker Weekends. Connected to the "Laker for a Lifetime" initiative, the Laker Traditions Team will be a select group of student leaders committed to engaging students in campus life at GVSU. The paid hourly leadership positions include

Overall Chair
Promotions/Social Media Coordinator
Volunteer Coordinator
Laker Weekends Coordinator

Each event will also have a Student Event Coordinator, who will receive a $500 stipend upon completion of assigned responsibilities. The events coordinated by the Laker Traditions Team include

Laker for a Lifetime Kickoff (August)
Family Weekend (September)
Homecoming (October)
Battle of the Valleys (November)
Sibs & Kids Weekend (January)
Presidents' Ball (February)
Intercultural Festival (March)
