The Hospitality and Tourism Management Club of Grand Valley is designed to expose students of Grand Valley to the world of Hospitality and Tourism. This club is open to any GVSU student interested in the department. We focus on the Lodging, Food and Beverage, Tourism and Event Planning fields through guest speakers, fundraisers, attending conventions and trade shows and planning events for the entire Grand Valley community. Also, the club promotes experience and networking throughout the Hospitality and Tourism field in order to benefit each member.s

Meeting Times
General Meetings are on the downtown campus in DeVos 138E every other Tuesday from 7:00 - 8:00 pm We will also have an activity on weeks we do not have a meeting starting at 7:00 pm 11-Sep Tuesday Open House Come enjoy food and beverages while getting to know what the Hospitality and Tourism Clubs are all about! 19-Sep Wednesday ArtPrize Opens Its ArtPrize! Meet downtown to view amazing art and get registered to vote for your favorite pieces! Meet at 138E Devos and walk downtown! 25-Sep Meeting 138E DeVos Discuss what our goals are for the year and get to know new members. 3-Oct Wednesday Restaurant Night: The B.O.B. 9-Oct Tuesday Meeting Located at Modern Day Floral Amway Storefront" Come view a wonderful demonstration at Modern Day Floral Storefront in the Amway Grand Plaza and observe and take part in amazing floral arrangements! 18-Oct Thursday Cake Decoration Contest The Meadows Teams compete to decorate the best cake. HTM Professor Charlie Baker-Clark will be head judge! 23-Oct Tuesday Meeting 138E DeVos Join us in hearing about Julie Oldenbroek from the Gilmore Collection work in Hospitality industry with her Food and Beverage/ Catering experience! 2-Nov Friday Bowling Night Head downtown to the Clique for an awesome night of bowling and fun! Then we can walk across the street to grab some grub at Joe V's and enjoy half off appetizers! 6-Nov Tuesday Meeting DeVos Place Tour- Come out before the Wine, Beer and Food Festival and enjoy a tour of the wonderful DeVos Place. We will be shown around the site by Kristy Doak, CMP and Sales Manager at DeVos Place. 12-Nov Monday Restaurant Night Restaurant Night: Kitchen 67 20-Nov Tuesday Meeting 138E DeVos Guest Speaker, Ryan Slusarzyk, will share his story with all of us! Recent grad of GVSU, Ryan is now the Corporate Business Travel Manager at the Amway Hotel Collection. 28-Nov Wednesday Movie Night Fun night out! Come join us in going to see the latest flix and a night of fun! 4-Dec Tuesday Meeting 138E DeVos Wrap up before we all head home for break!
