Alpha Phi Sigma is a scholastic honorary society in criminal justice. The mission of Alpha Phi Sigma is to promote critical thinking, rigorous scholarship and life-long learning; to keep abreast of the advances in scientific research, to elevate the ethical standards of the criminal justice professions and to sustain in the public mind of the benefit and necessity of education and professional training. The purposes of Alpha Phi Sigma are: Promoting academic excellence through the recognition of scholarship. Assisting in the development of professional and personal leadership among students and practitioners. Providing opportunities for service to the community and the profession. Encouraging greater communication among member chapters and the entire criminal justice profession. The Honor Society is open to those with a declared criminal justice major or minor, legal studies major or minor, criminal justice graduate student or law students.
Meeting Times
Meetings are every other Sunday of each month at 6 p.m. in 642 Fulton just to the east of Vito's Pizza.
