Community Council is the student government for all Laker Village residents. Members gather to discuss community concerns and requests, promote campus events, and plan in-area programs for the residents including intramural sign-ups, volunteer opportunities, homecoming involvement, and holiday socials! Laker Village Community Council paired with RHA to bring GVSU its first annual Humans v. Zombies event in fall 2012. You can look forward to another coming soon! General assembly meetings are held Sundays at 4pm. All Laker Village residents are welcome and encouraged to attend! Those voted into executive board positions will have additional meetings to meet the programming needs of the LVA community. Programs will range from social/community-building events to covering educational, health, sustainability, and diversity initiatives.
