The Microbiology Club promotes student interest in and the quality of the microbiology program at Grand Valley State University. We provide aid for students interested in microbiology with respect to academic curriculum and research opportunities. The microbiology club's purpose is to also promote student participation in local, state, and national American Society of Microbiology meetings as well as undergraduate research conferences. The Microbiology Club also arranges brewery tours in order to witness microbiology applied in the workplace. We also work with the BMS department in order to organize and invite a guest professor to speak during the BMS Seminar Series. The other main activity the club is involved with is facilitating Science Olympiad that takes place at GVSU during the end of the Winter semester.
