College of Interdisciplinary Studies Nichols Sustainability Scholarship ($500 Annually) Nichols is the preferred supplier of products & solutions to clean, protect & package, in the Great Lakes region. Nichols offers a comprehensive Green and Clean program that not only includes “green” products for facilities maintenance but also offers education, training and support to implement such programs within customers’ facilities. As part of their commitment to sustainability, they have sponsored this annual scholarship. Qualifications: Candidates and/or recipients, as applicable, for this scholarship must
meet the following criteria: 1. Candidates must be in their Sophomore year at Grand Valley State
University and recipients will be beginning their Junior year having previously earned a minimum of 55 credit hours, and at least 24 prior credit hours at Grand Valley State University. 2. Recipients must be enrolled with full-time status as a degree-seeking student in any undergraduate major field of study offered by Grand Valley State University. 3. Candidates and recipients shall be making satisfactory academic progress according to the norms established by the University. 4. Demonstration of financial need is not required. Acknowledgements: Upon accepting the award, each recipient is encouraged to acknowledge his/her appreciation of the scholarship by communicating with Nichols or its successor, or the university-appointed contact person for the scholarship.
