Sustainability Champions Awards
The Sustainable Community Development Initiative announces a call for nominations for the second annual Sustainability Champions Awards. Sustainability Champions are individuals who, by practice and belief, support the ideals of sustainable practice and using a triple bottom-line approach to problems and issues. The champions have demonstrated that they support both in word and deed, and can be looked to as leaders in sustainability. Selected Champions will be recognized at the Sustainability Champions Awards Breakfast on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 7:30-8:45am in the Grand River Room of Kirkhof Center. They will receive a certificate for display, indicating their advocacy and excellence in sustainable practice and will also be listed on the sustainability website. Nominate someone you know who is doing great work in sustainability by filling out the nomination form and emailing it to sustainability@gvsu.edu by Friday, October 9.
