The Grand Rapids bus system THE RAPID is free to students, faculty and staff and offers routes with the GVSU community in mind.

 

Niemeyer Sustainability Guide
The Glenn A. Niemeyer Learning and Living center, home of the GVSU Honors College provides this sustainability guide that outlines its sustainable building construction and living practices.

 

Campus Sustainability Week
In October of each year the Grand Valley campus spends a whole week focusing on sustainability through speakers, events, service-learning opportunities, information tables, and celebrations.

 

Energy Efficient Appliances on Campus
Laundry cards replaced coins as GVSU began changing out washers and dryers across campus. The new washers and dryers are more energy efficient and have very low water consumption.

The H.U.M.A.N vending machines all have LED lighting to conserve energy.

Many of the buildings on campus are LEED certified with energy saving technology that is central to its construction and operations.
