In the summer of ’53, Margaret Johnson tours the Tuscan countryside with Clara, her beautiful, surprisingly childish daughter. When Clara loses her hat in a sudden gust, it lands at the feet of Fabrizió Naccarelli, a handsome Florentine. Fate sparks an immediate and intense romance, but extremely protective Margaret attempts to keep the two apart. As the tale unfolds, a secret is revealed: Clara is not all that she appears.
