Theatre at Grand Valley presents
The Women of Lockerbie
Written by Deborah Brevoort
Directed by Kiara Pipino
November 7 - 16, 2014
Based on a true story, Pan Am 103 exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland, and 270 people lost their lives. An American mother meets the women of Lockerbie as she roams the hills looking for anything belonging to her son. The Scottish women want to wash the clothes of the dead and return them to the victim's families. Experience the triumph of love over hate. This play won the Silver Medal in the Onassis International Playwriting Competition and the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays award.
We are excited to collaborate with Grand Valley's School of Communication and the Writing Department to bring Ms. Brevoort to GVSU! She will be present and offer a post-performance "talk-back" immediately following the opening night performance. Please plan on meeting and discussing the author's thoughts on her play. There is no admission required for the post-performance discussion to be held in the Louis Armstrong Theatre.
