Past Student Facilitators:
We are fortunate to have had some very outstanding undergraduate student facilitators participating in the WISE Group Study Sessions. These students assist others with their courses in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Biology Facilitator: Alana Kincaid
Major: Biology major with a pre-vet emphasis
About Alana: About me: I am from Cedar Springs, MI, a small town 15 miles or so north of Grand Rapids. My hobbies are running, playing volleyball, reading, watching movies and Desperate Housewives (my guilty pleasure!). After graduating from GVSU I hope to attend MSU's veterinary school. My career goal is to become a small animal veterinarian and work at a suburban clinic somewhere here in West Michigan.
Chemistry Facilitator: Brittany Benson
Major: Biomedical Science

Career Goals: Medical Doctor
Hometown: Big Rapids, MI
About Me: I enjoy keeping busy! I love science and hope to go to medical school sometime in the next few years. I enjoy playing sports (volleyball, soccer, running, etc), I play clarinet in the GVSU concert band and am also chair of the Honors Council.

Education Goal: PhD in Physical Chemistry
Hometown: Stevensville, MI (Lakeshore HS)
About Me: I love Chemistry! I am a senior and am planning on graduating in the Spring. I am the president of Chemistry Club, and I encourage anyone with the slightest interest in chemistry to join. I also enjoy extra curricular activities outside of chemistry. I am currently taking beginning ballet and play french horn in the GVSU Concert Band. My career goal is still undecided. I do enjoy sharing my excitement for chemistry, so maybe I'll be a chemistry professor!

Former Biology Facilitator: Leah Tarrant (Fall 2006)
We wish Leah the best of luck this semester as she is doing a study abroad in Costa Rica for Winter 2007. We enjoyed having you as our Bio tutor last fall Leah and will miss you in WISE!
