Walleye Reproduction and Recruitment in the Muskegon River

Objectives:

The purpose of this project is to investigate reproductive and recruitment success of walleye in the Muskegon River.  Specific objectives are to:

  1. Estimate egg deposition, survival, and hatching success in specific ares of the Muskegon River
  2. Relate effects of egg predation to egg survival and hatching success
  3. Quantify emergence of larvae from natural substrate in specific ares of the Muskegon River
  4. Estimate the drift of larvae from specific sites in the Muskegon River to Muskegon Lake
